using a controller
is this game "playable" with a controller?

by that , I mean that I see it has "full controller support" on the store page, but to elaborate, what I'm asking is that when they designed it, was it designed for mouse and keyboard and then controller support was added later as an afterthought?

because a lot of game such as terraria and don't starve are like that and while you can use the controller, the games are practically unplayable with the controller due to sheer awkwardness.

I was watching a video of this game and the character has a crosshairs that can be moved anywhere with the mouse and I'm wondering how you replicate that movement with a controller, does the right thumbstick do that?

don't starve has a thing where the gameplay pauses while you move around in the inventory because forcing the player to sort it out in real time with a controller would make it impossible, but the thing is that the game is meant to be played such that you have to sort the inventory in real time in order to put that survival pressure on you, but the only way it's playable that way is with the mouse.

I want to buy this game but only if it is playable with a controller without that awkwardness

The game was very much designed with the controller in mind, and whether you prefer mouse/keyboard or controller comes down largely to personal preference.

You are correct, the right thumbstick aims your reticle. If you've played Nuclear Throne or Enter the Gungeon, you'll know what to expect here. While Streets of Rogue requires inventory access and some other things that those titles don't, I think you'll find it pretty easy to handle. The game does slow down significantly when accessing the inventory and other menus.

So, what did you think? Were you satisfied with the controller support?
