load custom chunks and online play?
can you play online with custom workshop content? if so, do both players need to subscribe to it or will it automatically fetch the workshop content if a player is missing it?

Yes, both players need to have downloaded the workshop content manually.

when we went to play online, there wasnt a choice to use the custom chuncks. how do you set them on for online?

There's a choice to set them when you first choose Online from the Start Game menu.
