Robot cops hate cop character?

So I was trying to get the supercop unlocked, and I was in uptown and robot cops always say im not a citizen and then attack me with flamethrowers? Why? The super cops are friendly.

The cop bots aren't hostile, but they aren't your allies either.

The one you met was looking for the Upper-Crusty trait, which you can't get as a cop. Still, the bot doesn't attack immediately. You can escape from it if you are fast enough, or interact with it, and let it take you to a deportation center you have to escape from or bribe your way out.

I didn't even know I could do that as a cop to be honest.

Once you unlock the super special ability of the cop char, cop bots won't bother you as their aligned with you, though normally it only effects the last floor.
