How to unlock secret heroes?

We will not give you a simple solution. We really would like you to have some fun with the game and spend a little bit of time before unlocking everything. All we know is that insulting your CPU may give you expected results.

Worth the wait, but I'm mildly disappointed over the unlocking mechanic. I didn't get the game to insult my CPU - I got it to insult my friends. Maybe a future patch/update will set online free?

Yep, even multiplayer should let you unlock things as you play.

The tournament takes like half an hour and is a good training mode.
It's also hilarious.

And you get to insult Morgan Freeman(ish) God at the end, so what's the issue, gentlemen?

I understand the frustration of wanting to unlock in MP though.
Still, give it a chance. It doesn't take that long and it's part of the game.

If you only had to run it once, that would be fine, but you have to grind the tournament repeatedly to get everyone unlocked. (Also: spoiler alert. C'mon, man!)

Think of it as Street Fighter. You get the game and you pop it in at a party only to discover Ken and Ryu are unlocked and everyone else is locked until you run through story mode on your own. It's not a great feeling and is going to put you off the game if multiplayer was your goal from the start.

Or most popular characters come locked and you have to start from least popular characters.

Maybe your character is something that might not be that popular but you personal favorite. Then find out that in the sequel you have to unlock them first.

It would make way more sense of have Lo Wang unlocked from the start, considering the character is probably way more popular than any of the unlocked from the start. Including him in the store page logo would probably drive sales.

Well you get 2 characters after the tournament, and the last one is probably God, maybe you must make a special insult on the computer to get him! :D

I've already unlocked all three character that are initially not selectable on the main menu and none of them is God (or Father, I guess).

But I also didn't get the achievement for unlocking a secret character, so maybe that's the thing.

I unlocked Father after winning the tourney with the Russian who sounds Indian. I don't know if it was who I played with, the time I won in, the number of continues needed, the highest word count used, the average word count used, a specific phrase... it's just not a good implementation.

Hm it's probably the win then. :D You unlock the first 2 by winning it, after that you unlock the russian by winning with one of the 2, and you get God if you win with the Russian if that's how you got it. :D
