Unlocking the Postal Dude

OK, I'm seriously struggling to unlock the Postal Dude, and it seems like various people have differing stories on how they finally got him. Some say they got him after an Instant Argument, and some say they completed Tournament Mode (the latter might be a problem for someone who's already played through it with each character).

So to this end, the question is how did you unlock the Postal Dude? Maybe there could be some extra stipulation (complete tournament mode under a time limit, win in under a certain amount of exchanges...)?

I've played a lot, so grain of salt, but a game in Instant Argument was enough for me.

I've done quite a few Instant Arguments, and that doesn't seem to be doing it for me.

After the update, I played the tounament 4 times but that didn'y unlock the Postal Dude and Serious Sam.

I hear talk that Sam now has to be unlocked by something to do with online. At least, that's some word I caught floating around. Seems to be one account out of many though.

(side note: I reset my progress in the game, and seven tournaments and characters later, no Dude).

I just unlocked him by instant argument by the lake, i think thats reffering to the update note where the postal dude murdered the man

I've tried several Instant Arguments by the lake, and nothing. What characters did you use?

Well, I tried that a couple times, still didn't do anything. Even when I used the same characters in the "Insult on a couch" option, zilch. Maybe there's a certain trigger phrase or a score to reach?

it did end in really few insults, could be that

it did end in really few insults, could be that

A couple more tries and I reached 49 on one insult. Didn't do it. Then did another in 4-5 (think it was 4) insult exchanges. Once more, nothing. This is really quite infuriating.

considering he just popped after an instant argument im not really sure. however perhaps its tied to some specific insult regarding murdering this poor man? i got such insult, and the update had a note related to that
specifically, "You probably murdered this poor man" was what i got

I had a feeling something similar to that might be a trigger phrase. Most other options are exhausted, so that one might be worth a go. As you say, Vile Monarch did include something to that effect in the update note.

Well, I regret to say that putting together the insult "You probably murdered this poor man" didn't unlock him. I had to do this in the Insult on a Couch mode (getting that insult together took way too damn long. Hooray RNG). So, it looks like options have been exhausted. I seriously hope that unlocking him isn't random.
