I played this game as a child on my dad's computer when he had the disk (and desktops HAD discs... this was a looooooooong time ago) and have since played it at least 12 times throughout my life. The puzzles are engaging, the art it beautiful and incredibly spooky. It does occupy your mind between not only finding the items but also thinking about what kind of item it is (they can be tricky with words like 'bat' and there are different versions of 'phone') and the puzzles can be interesting. I will say that sometimes they can be frustrating (the peacock puzzle and 'whack-a-troll' specifically) but you always have the option to skip them. The storyline is interesting and the detective/narrator is sassy. To me, this game is nostalgia and something that I will always come back to.
