Is there a way to revert to a really old version?

Those were the best, the game is no longer fun. I liked it when it was the older version just on the jasper map with the camper. no drones or any new stuff

I personally liked 2.0 but yes there is. you need to go on the steam database just search up a video on how to revert to older versions of any steam game.

im not 100% sure but they might be adding a legacy gamemode of sorts thats literally a carbon copy of the original verson (1.0) but with better programming so its the same experience but it plays better and can have 4 people

Heya I think I can help! What you do is you right-click the game in your steam library, go to "properties", then click the "betas" tab and select any previous version of the game.
It should then install said previous version onto your computer in place of the one you have once you exit that tab. As far as I can tell, you will loose any data you had stored in the current version so be warned!
Surprised more people don't know about this. Anywho, hope this helps and enjoy the game!

DEVS WHO READ THIS PLEASE DO NOT GET RID OF THIS FEATURE....... I Know this is a bit of a old discussion, but for anyone who looks, I found a way to revert to older versions, I tested the 2017 version and the 2019 version on solo play and it works. Other versions I am unsure of but they should work. I also don't know if multiplayer works but it is worth testing.

Also sorry AverageDocOckEnjoyer, I did not see your message and I appreciate you, I learned this because of 7 Days to Die

-- 1. right click on Bigfoot in your library and then click on properties
-- 2. click on the betas tab
-- 3. at the top right of the betas tab is should have a drop down tab that says none, click on that and click on the version of Bigfoot you want to play (they have dates next to them).
-- 4. you will then want to update Bigfoot (or install if it is uninstalled)
-- 5. Play and enjoy

its honestly sad that they couldnt just keep 4.0, i know updates are important but the players enjoyed the older versions so much more then the current new version
