Apart from this easy to come by bug the game should make no problems, Hope we will hit each other online^^
Yeah, I'm using a Logitech that can switch from d-input to x-input but it usually takes a bit more elbow grease for Unity dev's to get their games to recognize how Logitech handles the axises. I've only had troubles with 3% of the games on Steam but it's frustrating when it happens...
...one salvation however; can you turn off the game's bult in pad support so that it focuses on mouse/keyboard only? If so then it would, at least, be mappable with pad mapping software like Pinnacle.
Thanks for the info =)
I bought the game a couple months later and played for about an hour - I got the gamepad to work but can't remember if I had to use Pinnacle or if the game was compatible with my Logitech out of the box. Either way I've got no complaints
Titles that really piss me off are games like Blacksea Odyssey and Vostok which require Bill brand specific gamepads or die; you can't turn off the in-game gamepad support in those two games so Pinnacle can't save them either
"Here's what's new in 1.5.26
---------------------------
[Feature] Added support for non XInput controllers.
[Feature] Added the possibility to re-binding acceleration, brake and steer controls for gamepads.
NOTE about gamepads:
If your gamepad is not recognized by the game there are some steps to follow in order to make it work.
The game now loads a custom gamepad database located in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\config\gamecontrollerdb.txt.
To add new gamepads you can use http://www.generalarcade.com/gamepadtool/ which is well explained in their page!
Another useful link is https://github.com/gabomdq/SDL_GameControllerDB"
(edit: link is 404err)
the game says partly controller support so ihope they have better DS4 support in another upddate l8er, maybe it has to do with the *.txt file, basicly it would work but i got a quick disconnect
(in the forums they are a thread for Dualshock4 controller but they closed it)
Thinking about getting the game but I'll probably pass if there's still no full DS4 support.
It's strange how Logitech is treated like a third-party company that no one has ever heard of as they were the key peripheral developers for MS OS's back during the 90's straight into early 2000.
