(By default, the AppData folder is hidden - if you can't see it then click View in the top-left corner and then check the box "Hidden items").
Then remove the folder called “Totally Accurate Battle Simulator” and start the game to see if your units are visible.
Before deleting the folder you can make a backup of your save files, follow the steps in the FAQ to do so.
Once you've opened the File Explorer, double-click on the C: drive and navigate to Users > your username (the username is unique to your computer, the folder is named after the username of your Windows account) > AppData > LocalLow > Landfall Games.
In CustomUnits, there should be a folder for each unit that you've created, with a picture of the unit inside the folder. Are you able to see your custom units here?
It's annoying as hell, and a major issue for checking up on how many downloads, likes, and subscriptions each one garnered.
