Can't see the units or anything in the Local tab in Custom Content
Is there any fix for this?

Please first try to verify your game files and see if it helps: Right-click on TABS in your Steam Library > Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of game files

You can also try the following:
  1. Press and hold the Windows key and the letter R on your keyboard
  2. Type appdata into the prompt that appears
  3. Then navigate to LocalLow/Landfall Games/Totally Accurate Battle Simulator
  4. Delete these two folders: "mod.io-152" and "modio-152"
  5. Start the game

Thanks, I will try that!

Unfortunately neither of these solutions worked. Is there anything else I can do?

From what I understand, you can't see any of your custom content that you've created (units, battles, etc.) in the local tab?

Can you check the local files on your computer to see if the units you've created are saved?
  1. Right-click on TABS in your Steam Library > Manage > Browse local files
  2. Navigate to TotallyAccurateBattleSimulator_Data > CustomContent > CustomUnits
  3. In CustomUnits, there should be a folder for each of your units, with a picture of the unit inside the folder.
Are there any folders inside CustomUnits, or is it empty?

There are some folders in there, however the images I've seen only show the units I've downloaded off the workshop. I haven't checked every single one but I've had a quick look through a bunch and none of the units I created by myself are there. This may be unrelated but I've also had a strange bug where every time I clear a decent quantity of units on the map, the audio completely stops and then slowly fades back in. Thanks for the help :)

Thanks for the extra details! It might be an issue with how units are saved then, if none of your own units exist in your local files.

You said that there are folders for the units you've downloaded from the workshop, can you see these units in the local tab in-game?

No problem! Also I cannot see anything in my local tab in-game, I can still create units though - and when I do they seem to save correctly. The downloaded units are in the downloaded tab still. Maybe all the units/factions I created before got deleted? Not sure.

Thank you very much for your patience :) I will report this issue to the team so that they can investigate. Can you please send your player log to support@landfall.se? Also include a link to this Steam thread in the email.

You can find the player log here:
  1. Press and hold the Windows key and the letter R on your keyboard
  2. Type appdata into the prompt that appears
  3. Then navigate to LocalLow/Landfall Games/Totally Accurate Battle Simulator > locate “Player.log” and send that file to us

Hi, can't seem to locate the file player.log but I've found two which are similar, they are called Player and Player-prev. They contain log information and some things about my GPU if that's what your looking for?

Yes, those are the correct files :)

Nevermind, found the right file and I've sent it to support@landfall.se along with a link to this discussion. Thanks for the help and guidance and I hope you can solve this problem :)

P.s. Didn't see your recent message (I sent the player.log file just so you know).

hey cookieface, I had the same problem myself, but I found a solution that might help you. I know this is a year past and I hope you already have solved the issue, but just in case, I found that one of the custom units I downloaded was preventing me from saving my units, as soon as I deleted the downloaded unit from the files following these steps from this discussion, I was able to save my own units:

1.Right-click on TABS in your Steam Library > Manage > Browse local files
2.Navigate to TotallyAccurateBattleSimulator_Data > CustomContent > CustomUnits
3.In CustomUnits, there should be a folder for each of your units, with a picture of the unit inside the folder.

Are you only able to place clubbers or does it say "none selected" at the bottom? If so, you have the radial interface selected which is intended for controllers. Go to the Main menu > Settings > Gameplay > User Interface Mode > Set it to "traditional".

If that isn't the issue, it'd be helpful if you could upload a screenshot here or send it to us via email to support@landfall.se
