I tried to install this using the subscribe and install. Got the error as you described.
I tried many things but in the end I un-installed it closed tabs. open it again tried to subscribe and install failed again. Un installed again closed tabs again and tried again.
Now it worked.
Guess it is an install error and you just need to remove/uninstall the mod close TABS then open tabs try again subscribe/install again.
Worked for me. Hope it will work for you as well.
There will only be a CustomMaps folder if you have previously downloaded or made a map of your own. But you can create a folder called CustomMaps yourself.
I noticed that if you manually add a map this way, it's sometimes not possible to delete it from your Custom Content in-game, you might have to delete the map from the game files if you want you remove it.
Hello Beth! I've been having some issues with putting the tabs mods manually, when I go to the "TotallyAccurateBattleSimulator_Data" folder, I can't see any "CustomContent" folder or "CustomMaps" folder so I created two folders with their respective names (CustomContent and CustomMaps) inside the "TotallyAccurateBattleSimulator_Data" folder, put the files of the mods/maps in them and that doesn't works either!
Then inside CustomMaps, you put that numbered folder you get from mod.io
You can just create some units, maps etc. of your own in the game and then those folders should be automatically created. Let me know if you are still having issues after that.
Ok so, I managed to add the maps of the mod I've downloaded in the game and put them in the folder inside CustomMaps, and I did the same with the other stuff (putting the Campaigns, Battles, Units and Factions in their own folders, all of them inside CustomContent ofc) but even though the units and factions get added, the campaign and battles don't appear!
I did as you told me and so far when I press the custom section and starts loading, it gets stuck there, I assume that it got stuck but either way, I'll be offline the internet for two days for irl reasons so I'll talk to you later in three or two days
