Progress Resets
Hey!
Love the game, it's fun and all, but today, I was bored so i decided to faff about on the game and realized my progress had been completely reset. The game kept my custom units and whatnot, but removed all of my progress regarding the secret units and legacy units, as well as the entire campaign. I first thought it was a one time thing, but every time I exit the game, I have to redo EVERYTHING I did when I first started. Now i'm not saying I mind redoing the those things, it's just that I don't have time and am forced to speedrun it with the bug DLC instead of being able to spam control units. Any fixes? I've verified game integrity and made backups (which I can't find). Another issue, not related btw, is that even with "unlock all units in campaign" turned on, I can't use any of the factions other than the previous ones, can't even use customs. Any reasons for that?

Also, the "unlock all units in campaign levels" option isn't working currently, the team is aware of the issue.

Try messing around with steam cloud's save option.
Right click on the game -> Properties -> General -> Steam Cloud and turn "Keep games saves in the Steam Cloud for TABS" on, as well as top left Steam -> Settings -> Cloud -> Enable the first box
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I've tried the steam cloud sync and everything. I've turned it on and off again multiple times. I'm not sure if I want to try to reinstall because the customs i made are annoying to recreate

You can copy your CustomContent folder by going to your Steam folder path
wherever your steam is installed -> steamapps -> common -> Totally Accurate Battle Simulator -> TotallyAccurateBattleSimulator_Data -> CustomContent and just copy them somewhere else then re-install the game. Afterwards just place your folders back and you'll have your custom content.
