archers OP
sorry for my recent flux of posts. if they annoy you let me know. but theres another topic i wish to discuss. the archers of tabs, judging by Wil's recents posts, seem really OP. their AI seems to be extremely buffed, and arrows do a great deal of damage. they can aim over allies and hit enemies from super far away! thats insane! they are like, 50 times better than any real life archer. i would like to suggest that they either get debuffed, price raised, or (my favorite) the archers with that level of AI turn into grandmaster archers. and then the normal archers get debuffed. plus snake archers. SNAKE. ARCHERS. how do you even counter an archer besides more archers? shieldsmen seem to get killed with ease. swordsmen are decimated. i dunnow. they seem hecka fun. their bows even draw back. THEY DRAW BACK. only thing that can make it better is them pulling an arrow from a quiver.

still, what good would low health do if your enemies can never reach you?

Valkyrie unit should be able to deal with it. Seems the snake can only slither across the ground and jump up a bit.

what about when you dont have valkaries or snakes? seems like pretty darn specific counter units

For non-snake firing archers? Idk. If we had formations, I think that Testudo formation would help.

deffinently. but we dont. and those lil rascals fire in an arch. shields are pretty much useless cept for close range.

Well, virtually any ranged enemies could counter the archers if they can fire faster. Plus, they take a long time to string the bow.

And they only fire in a arch when there are allies in front of enemies.

they give their enemies a strong 2 second head start

Ai may be updated. it always is.

HAVE YOUVE SEEN THE ICE ARCHERS!?!?! They basicallt one hit kill footmen!!!! FOOTMEN!!!
ARCHERS CANT EVEN DO THAT, AND DO YOU KNOW WHATS WORSE? THEY COST THE EXACT SAME AS NORMAL ARCHERS!!!!!

edit: jk, but if theyre aready nerfed, nice, but I like a nerf, they may not be this op, but at least make then a bit more costly...

OUR SAVIOR WIL HAS DONE IT AGAIN. i never would have thought, even IMAGINED, but he did the impossible. MADE A COUNTER TO ARCHERS SO INGENIUS NONE OF US EXPECTED IT. he made mirror shields that send projectiles back at enemies. i mean, thats cool. but if thats the only counter... plus he made balloon archers which i would guess would eliminate our other main counter: shields. hey, heres an idea...give them limited ammo. yaaaaay.

we should just make tennis units for that. unit creator has endless possibilities.

I always found vikings were good against archers in the alpha, they had good health, speed and defence and were able to close the gap quickly with minimum casualties, maybe they’ll be good against these new archers? Either that or I would just spawn a mammoth at the front of my line to tank the damage while having my units behind it.
