They may be similar but not the same.compare two units you think don't have a different purpos and I will prove you wrong.yes I spelled it wrong, correct my grammar I don't care.

You are sort of right, but many units have different abilities and the same purpose. Example: shield bearer and protector both have the same purpose: protect with a shield. They are very different units, sure, but the purpose is the same.

Not exactly,I see your point but the protector is more combat then the sheild bearer.ypu can tell because the sheild is not touching or close to the ground.

What's the difference between those two units anyways?
The protector is just a little bit easier to use with Unit Possession, that's about it.

Protector has a better shield bash, whereas the shield bearer is larger and better defended.

But you would not use a protector to attack. It is just a more a n g r y shield bearer, to protect.

Actually, the Protector is definitely a lot more combat-ready than the Shieldbearer. It turns a lot faster, has an angrier swing, and I believe it deals more damage, at the cost of a less stable and less covering shield.

So the shield-bearer is more useful for keeping a group formation and defending units from being skewered by arrows, while the protector is there for protecting much smaller groups of allies while doing damage on the way?

Yeah, but would you use it to be your main combatant?

Not as a main force, of course, but it is useful against a smaller amount of archers. But I do believe it's already clear that it doesn't have the same exact use as the Shieldbearer. Unless you see it differently because they "both defend against projectiles", but then you might as well say all melee units have the same purpose because they "all attack the enemy at close range".

True, but they are supposed to be the cheap defense units of the tribal faction.
