Could really use gamepad support.
Would be great to see it added, games like this are tailor made for gamepads.

Hello! I totally agree, and I'm looking into implementing just that. I wont say when something like this would be available, as controller support was something we didn't even consider until the end of development, and only now are we are smacking ourselves that the system we did create is a bit sensitive.

This may be getting into the weeds a bit (maybe you will find it interesting), but we created our control system where everything is dependent on the keyboard controls of the player. When you move the player ship; the enemies, background elements, scrolling tiles--everything--responds to your movement. In other words, we created a sense of camera without actually using a camera. It would have been more straightforward to just move the hero and have the level respond as a whole, with a camera following you around a larger room, but we were experimenting and created a whole other beast. We like the effect we created, but it creates a situation where nothing is modular, and everything is dependent on everything else. I hope to solve this somehow and add gamepad support, but it's a work in progress.

That's the thing with this game, instead of mowing the lawn with a lawnmower, we spent our time using scissors on every blade, an almost OCD-oriented approach to game development. Again, we like the result of our hard work, but admit that the game is sort of like Frankenstein's monster; it is built with love, but it will still strangle you to death with its unholy nature.

Or something like that ;)

+1 for controller support, how I am suppose to play this without controller??
