I'm hoping these can be repurposed to be watchman dongles. Sure, at one point you need a custom plugin for your custom SteamVR tracked device. But it doesn't make much sense to be able to calibrate the IMU, photodiodes, but not be able to actually test the tracking, before committing resources on writing a SteamVR plugin.
