MusiCo:3 | Code for Music is a terminal-style music studio powered by Strudel. Start from an example, change a rhythm or melody, press RUN, and hear what your code does.

• Write patterns in the code editor, with live playback highlighting and beginner lessons and snippets.

• Sketch melodies and chords in the Piano Roll, or shape a starting idea with Sound Math and turn it into editable code.

• Choose themes, ASCII companions and playback views, including a cleaner editor-only workspace.

• Record the app's output and export WAV or lossless FLAC.

Built-in synths and the bundled piano work offline. External samples need internet access when first downloaded.

The MusiCo companion now has an optional Say hello interaction in Settings: a small wink, or a static greeting with reduced motion. It works offline and has no rewards or website requirement.

Two additional Steam milestones are prepared: Back to the Beat for returning to a saved project, and Shape into Song for carrying a Sound Math idea into a saved track. Their checks use measured playback and matching project/code rather than treating the Play button as proof of sound. They are not available to unlock yet: Steam configuration and real-device verification still need to be completed. There is no local badge substitute.

The store page is open for wishlisting. MusiCo:3 is not publicly released, purchasable or downloadable yet, and this announcement does not open a demo or Playtest. The plan is a free base app for Windows and Linux; release timing and access details will be announced when ready.

Windows/Linux device testing is continuing. Steam Cloud cross-machine sync and real Steam achievement delivery are not yet verified, so please do not treat them as finished features. Keep backups of any projects you test.

If making music with code sounds interesting, add MusiCo:3 to your wishlist. I'd love to hear what would help you get started.

Thanks for taking a look. ♡
