A file lands on your desk and the machine has already denied it. Read the bureau extract, the application, and whatever else the packet carries. Work out which reason code the record can actually support. Cite the lines that prove it. Sign your name.

Appeals reads everything you sign. A statement the record does not support comes back, and it comes back against you.

Some files have no defensible reason in them at all. Refusing to sign one costs you time and clears nothing. It is still a right.
