I loved this game in Beta, I loved where it was going and what it was doing. It's system was easy to understand, there was a small learning curve but you could overcome.

However since Release, I find it has too much RNG with too many sweaty sweaty builds to fight against now to be fun. I am trying to figure out the story added since the beta, and if I have one wrong pick (to try to get this Grace) the sweaty builds other people have dominate entirely. I want to love this game, but the balance is entirely garbage now, you've let the new characters run amok to ruin the runs. If I see another full stall Rabbit or "zero cost" Squirrel build..

Things I would like to see:

1. Let me pick from a few opponents, in the way we do for the regular monsters.
2. Let there be some AI Decks, rather than Players only, Not all of us can be so lucky to get our builds out the gate immediately, but I never see those type of decks fighing me anymore.
3. Make a Non-PvP Mode? I want to see this story, I want to work on these achievements without being bombarded by countless unhinged decks. Something that doesn't affect your rating, or very little.
4. Balance Rat better against Rabbit and Squirrel, I dont think I've seen a Rat in several of my runs, which means you make some characters too strong.
5. Don't have people relying on Wikipedia pages to learn how to do things in your game, perhaps make Grace noteable on a Card? Like a little white circle on the Plans card, or maybe even the border. There are so many cards to manually go through waiting for specific events to trigger to try to get "good endings", giving a leg up within the game itself would be helpful.

I desperately want this game to be something to recommend to my friends, like I did when it was in Beta, I will keep trying every few months and maybe rewrite my review then, until that time, I cannot recommend this game that I once loved so much in beta.

2.5/5

A great auto-battler card game. Would love to see an endless mode so you can carry on with awesome builds you lucked out on min-maxxing over the course of the run. Being able to carry on is what can help grow the community around the game and create big runs that break the game or become OP eventually; Balatro for example.

If the devs add an endless mode where you only PVP others in endless, and/or bots, that would be awesome and make for some great content.

The dev is actively working on the game, fixing bugs (e.g. It crashes on MacOS, which can be frustrating especially in late game), rebalancing etc.

I give this game 4.3/5. I hope to continue to enjoy it as it develops further.

dawg how did i log 100 hours on this wtf
