BATTLES
- Enemy vehicles now keep coming at you, one after another, until you go inside a building or kill the commander.
- The commander never comes first.

CRASHES
- Ram an enemy vehicle in the buggy or on skis and you crash, at any speed. The enemy vehicle is destroyed too.
- Any enemy hit on your buggy now rolls it, and the buggy is lost.
- A crash only hurts when a body part drops a colour band on PLAYER INFO.
- CRASHES OFF now means no crashes at all: glider, buggy and skis.
- A slow ski into a tree stops you instead of crashing you.
- After a glider wreck with no injury you now see GLIDER WRECKED - ON SKIS.

ARCTIC SURVIVAL SCHOOL
- DOWNHILL CONTROL is finished. Part one runs you through gates with the game holding your speed. Part two gives you full
control, with a picture of the safe line on its card.

ALSO
- MOD: MODERN ART stays on once you choose it.
- SAVE GAME shows GAME SAVED after a successful save.
- Skipping a cable car ride sets you down on the ground at the far end, not under it.
- The Shale Creek buggy-loss card says how many kills your buggy got.

New

• Intro film on the title screen. Skip with Enter, Space or Escape.

• The enemy headquarters is hidden at the start. Recruit enough of your team to reveal it; the Frostopedia explains how.

• Snow buggies can roll over. Crossing a steep side slope too fast rolls the buggy; a windscreen outline and a low tone warn you first. Better drivers can go faster.

• Fuel burns faster the faster you drive. Plan your route around where you can refuel. Easy has a bigger tank, Hard a smaller one.

• Rocket grenades can miss. Aim at the centre of your view for the best odds.

• CO PLAYER (Windows only): from the pause page, the game writes a briefing you can hand to an AI assistant for hints or coaching.

• VIDEO options page: display settings, anti-aliasing, dither size.

• The minimap now scrolls with you instead of paging.

• Map index: a red X marks a facility type when every building of that type is destroyed.

• Civilians are never captured, and a civilian who fires becomes a fighter for that fight.

Fixed

• On skis, rocket grenades fire on SPACE only on Windows. A mouse click no longer fires one.

• Lieutenant Gaunt and Revel portraits are no longer stretched.

• A crash in v28.3 when the roll warning first appeared.

• Academy lesson cards stay up when you change screens; BACK is in the same place on every Academy page.

• Side cards close on a click or after 30 seconds and no longer fire a shot when clicked.

• A distress flare never delivers you to the enemy headquarters.

• Missile warning chevrons show the true bearing: ahead at the top, behind at the bottom.
