Cheap anti tank/defence option. An anti-tank rifles ?
Hello,

It's been a little time that I play at Foxhole.
I had the opportunity to play on several servers and until now, this game really please me.

However, I would like to expose an idea for a cheap and accesible gun against the vehicules.
Because if the game propose a large choice of light caliber weapon, the lack of equipment seem embarrasing when come the moment or a player is face to a field full of foxhole, pillbox, tank, half-track ect...
I saw entire squads blocked and killed by simple foxholes.

Before all, why an other anti-tank weapon.

Because, the most decent infantry anti-tank ammo need sulfur and become generaly too much rare.

When a team lose ground, she also lost these spots of sulfurs and by the same occasion, the possibilité to create efficiente gear against the vehicule. The loser keep to lose and the winner keep to win.

The H.E grenade is not efficiente in all situation. It just mediocre to destroy a foxhole, and worse against a foxhole who are covered by an another foxhole who are himself covered by an anothers foxhole... foxhole everywhere, a madness.

So,

For this suggestion, I think at an anti-tank rifle, like those used during the greats wars. A gun with a slow rate of fire and a mediocre precision who make it ineffective against infantry, but with a sufficient accuracy to aim and hit an vehicule with success and able to damage tank and half track at a long distance.

The gun cannot destroy an tank without dozens of shoots, but at least, it can contrain the driver to keep distance and release some pressure against the infantry, or in others case, to respond at a tank charge. More, the rifle can damage the defensive structure at distance, usefull in open field when the ennemy have excessive gun nest/ pillbox and bunker.

This rifle can only be used at crouched or prone position, like the heavy machinegun. The ammo are heavy, it add emcumberance and take each one a case of the backpack, like for the mortar shell or the rpg rocket.

The anti-tank rifle is unlocked at level 4 armory. Each crafted ammo crate contain 15 bullet. Its crafted with basic (or maybe raffined material) but don't require sulfur.

Historically speaking, Anti-Tank rifles were in fact the predecessor to Rocket Launchers, so this actually viable. balance-wise, it would have to be weaker, but possibly easier to aim. I Approve.

I don't believe anti-tank rifles were intended to destroy the vehicles, but rather to kill the crew inside, by penetrating the relatively thin armour of the early tanks and armoured cars.

They may be a good option vs halftracks.

Or implement Hitbox like WoT, you can de-track a tank/half track with explosives

Actually this is a good idea. If it kills the crew inside, then you need infantry nearby to jump in and take over the tank. So it makes them more dependant on infantry support and less likely to just drive around running people over. It's actually hard to hit a moving vehicle with HE grenades. It would be a good counter to light tanks and half tracks but not heavy tanks.
