Wow.
How do I cross the line?
1) I've heard players complain that another player was outside the fogwall shooting inwards and killing them, while return fire could not hit the enemy due to the fogwall barrier. I've heard of this happening numerous times from numerous players so I know for a fact that getting outside the fogwall is possible. How it is possible, though, I have yet to determine.
2) I've tried building watch towers entirely outside the fogwall from the inside fogwall...can't be done. You can get about 95% of the watch tower outside the fogwall but that tiny little part you hammer must be inside the fogwall and (potentially) exposed to HE grenades.
3) In the past, structures (watch towers, walls, etc.) built alongside the fogwall will sometimes have a bug in which it cannot be destroyed, whether it is inside or outside of the fogwall. Proof is an entire enemy compound that was snuggled up alongside the fogwall in Endless Shore, complete with barracks, walls, and gates, that withstood the attack of myself, several of my teammates, two half-tracks, and loads of HE's and frags. We could kill the players if they came out their gate but we couldn't do 1% damage to any part of their compound. That compound remained untouched until the end of the game.
Granted, I didn't see the watch tower you referenced as being entirely outside the fogwall (as opposed to 95%). I am simply taking your word that it was completely outside the fogwall.
Granted as well, I have never actually seen a player on the other side of the fogwall, I am merely repeating what I've seen in chat numerous times on different maps.
