Setting spawn point

E doesn't appear to work to set a spawn point, per the tutorial, and the in game community does not seem to answer any questions.

I will check back in a few months and try again.

You have to open the base menu with E then click the little home/house button at the bottom left. If you scroll over the icon buttons in the menu it will give a description of what they do.

Thanks, I have no idea what that means, I pressed E repeatedly in basic training and looked for some menu to pop up... nothing.
I am playing something else. I have owned this game for a while, but may never play it at this point.

Well if you do come back to it, you walk up to certain buildings (your base) and when you see the text pop up at the bottom left of your screen, press E to open the menu for that building, then you can follow the directions I stated above.
