Stop moving while shooting, use cover to stabilize weapon, it's not that hard bruv.

its not cod take cover and stop moving while shooting aim the cross-hair just in front of people not on or behind them.

This game has a hitscan hit system, which means that even when an opponent is running, you just need to point the mouse directly at his model, not in front of him or behind him. If you missed, it means that the aim was not on the opponent's model, or you have a high spread. Also, in the latest update, the aiming system for enemies above or below you has been redesigned. In this case, you also need to aim specifically at the model and move the scope a little higher or lower on the model so that the line chooses the optimal firing level for hitting, if successful, you can see the white dot of the sight on the enemy.

Straight up I've been playing for years and the best thing I've found is if you are having a hard time as infantry getting into gun fights, just avoid it. Get into driving armor and you'll have an aiming system that makes more sense and if you stick to a defensive driving style and avoid driving at night you can survive for hours in one vehicle whereas when you play infantry every engagement is a roll of die. Maybe you'll survive jumping in that trench, maybe you wont, even with perfect aim on the enemy. It's not uncommon for me to unload an entire 9mm mag and I damn well know I'm aiming directly at my foe only for him to survive and kill me. That's my 2 cents.

You are spreading misinformation. None of the infantry weapons are hit scan. You need to lead your targets. Direct fire shell weapons like tanks and push-guns are the only hit-scan weapons in the game, (I think. Either they are hitscan, or the projectiles are so fast that they are practically hitscan. Hard to tell.)

EDIT: I was wrong. See my next post.

After 50 hours of infantry combat after the update (if it changed anything with the speed of the bullet), I can confidently say, albeit subjectively, that even an enemy running across can be hit simply by aiming the scope correctly at his model. He takes damage sometimes even before the animation of the arrival of a bullet into him (visually). After many kills, taking into account the hitscan idea, I can't get away from the feeling that this particular damage model works in infantry combat. I'll be glad to make a mistake, even though I don't really want to.

It's pretty bad. I can get kills, but it seems like some weapons just arbitrarily decide to hit more often than others.

There's 2 ways to hit enemies it seems. A)Sit in cover, and shoot at enemies that enter your FOV with a small reticle. This works, but either through personal or server lag, sometimes enemies will evade hits.

B)Some weapons like the storm-rifle are seemingly able to spray and pray very accurately. Was pushing an invasion at night. I was able to spray after running and hit wardens at medium range. Warden in a bush up ahead (Not in view) was spraying in my direction and I immediately went down.

What's odd is the 9mm versions can't do that, and if you run and shoot at a target directly near you, it's still difficult to hit the target because the aim jumps from up high to down low when shooting in trenches sometimes.

After doing further research, I have found that I owe you an apology. All direct fire weapons in foxhole are in fact hitscan.

They are however Server side hitscan, meaning that if you have have a higher latency, such as me, you still need to lead your shots.

If you're near the server location and thus have minimal latency, it is always ideal to place your crosshair right on your target even if they are moving.
