aim with some people. Cheats maybe idk. I've certainly never done very well with the Aiming system. that is why I stay arty or Logi
You are spreading misinformation. None of the infantry weapons are hit scan. You need to lead your targets. Direct fire shell weapons like tanks and push-guns are the only hit-scan weapons in the game, (I think. Either they are hitscan, or the projectiles are so fast that they are practically hitscan. Hard to tell.)
EDIT: I was wrong. See my next post.
There's 2 ways to hit enemies it seems. A)Sit in cover, and shoot at enemies that enter your FOV with a small reticle. This works, but either through personal or server lag, sometimes enemies will evade hits.
B)Some weapons like the storm-rifle are seemingly able to spray and pray very accurately. Was pushing an invasion at night. I was able to spray after running and hit wardens at medium range. Warden in a bush up ahead (Not in view) was spraying in my direction and I immediately went down.
What's odd is the 9mm versions can't do that, and if you run and shoot at a target directly near you, it's still difficult to hit the target because the aim jumps from up high to down low when shooting in trenches sometimes.
After doing further research, I have found that I owe you an apology. All direct fire weapons in foxhole are in fact hitscan.
They are however Server side hitscan, meaning that if you have have a higher latency, such as me, you still need to lead your shots.
If you're near the server location and thus have minimal latency, it is always ideal to place your crosshair right on your target even if they are moving.
