Foxhole

Foxhole

Post your Charlie War 9 stories here
First experience playing Foxhole, started at the beginning buying the game on sale and stuck thru to the end...there was only a handful of griefers and I started to look at them as merely black market profiteers so they didn't ruin the game experience for me.

Ran in to a few high ranks (which meant they were able players and experienced) and they were great mentors bar none. Special mention of Kaz, who ran great teaching operations with the squad Public Ops. He taught the game and led us out on missions experimenting with all the weapons and vehicles. It was like herding cats sometimes, lols. I won't soon forget taking 30 people deep into Warden lines carrying AP mines, placing them on the logi roads and a quarter of the squad proceeded to demonstrate why they are called AP mines by stepping on them!

Foxhole is what you make it! For me it was a great game and an even better community. What was your experience?

Yesterday I was making signs for the war memorial in Lockheed. That is considered special ground to those who were there. I supplied that city often, and usually under heavy fire.
The first defence of godcrofts I took part in was massive, massive fun. There was a collie naval invasion at Isawa, i forget now but i think there was a longhook. Because we didn't have any ships of our own at the moment they took over a half of the island, and all of us were holed up in the town hall. However there was something like 3k shirts, 1.5k loughcasters and 3k 7.92mm rounds all stocked up. So it just became a massive meat grinder of infantry, never before in this game and never again I believe I will hear the sounds of 20+ bolt actions firing at once in one spot. The collies kept trying to leverage firepower on us with the superior equipment they had in their ships but we kept just grinding them down with loughcaster volleys until the lamentum spam became too much. At this point they got inside the town hall, and so many people were dying inside that I kid you not, the entire floor was covered in bodies constantly ragdolling everywhere from explosives. For me this was one of the more memorable moments I had in Charlie War 9
This was my first war and I got so many stories I don't even know where to start.
For me the story ended when we was winning and I brought 15 flares in my truck and someone shot them in the air as fireworks just before the server reset to resistance mode.
I think it could not have ended in more style:steamhappy:
I wish the developers would add mementos to the world map for some of the events that happened in previous wars. Kind of like how in CSGO they added wall graffiti for some of the most memorable esport moments.
I took 3 new players with >10 hours between them all and stuck them in a lordscar.
got 9 tank kills in 1 day including a double vetted LTD and nemesis

Lockheed was a crazy place that I used to defend alongside other people, I did everything in Lockheed, supplied it, repaired it, built for it, killed for it, stole the Warden vehicles for it.

We were getting shelled by artillery, gunboats constantly but we never gave up, we even had a small incursion from the beach, it was fun as hell.

I did many things there, had a duel in the trenches with a warden, destroyed 4 tanks with stickies with a friend, stole 2 gunboats with my fellows, drove wardens over with an armored jeep, made a warden tank crew so angry when I destroyed their last logistics truck, loads of fun and a humongous struggle to keep the town afloat.

We had multiple incursions onto the beach especially in the early days of the siege before we had dug in. On January 12th and 13th we were essentially under constant bombardment and couldn't dig in our defenses enough to ward off those beach incursions. At one point I spent hours on the mortar emplacement house just shelling wave after wave of Wardens coming onto the beach up on the right flank of Tank Killer Ridge and even started using incendiary rounds on their infantry as a form of psychological warfare as you can't be put out once set on fire in foxhole to my knowledge. They sent a flame siege tank over the bridge at us the next day and it burned through our infantry on its way to the head of the bridge where it was met with a coordinated volley from our AT guns on Tank Killer Ridge.
come visit able basically its world war 2 vs vietnam, it takes a couple days to get used to the frontline which is way more intense, you have to adjust your aggression as over extending is more punishing but when you go back to charlie you have been forged in fire

a charlie scoprion driver i gun for using a flamethrower well was good time
