The Sabotaging Has Gotten Ridiculous
More and more now when I'm ingame I'll hear about
"[Player] just took 400 iron and is running off with it"
or
"So-And-So loaded up a truck with BMats and is driving it towards the opposing side"

Or "spies" as they put it sharing information from one logi chat to another
Or even having players trying to break down bases or some defenses so the enemy can get through, and I've now seen players gasing their own sides when in a cluster.

It has gotten ridiculous and well beyond the possibility of "Well maybe they're new players and they don't know..."

Many of these so called alts are just beginners trying to figure the game out. I think I looked suspicious when I was a beginner and ran to clan bases to get a little bmats, there was no good guides and I had no clue what I was doing. Alts do exist though and they are pathetic.

Best way to deal with alts is, pretend they don't exist. Devs do little to nothing about them, cause after all, they make money off them. You can easily out produce alts by hard work, and don't put stuff in public stockpiles.
Screw this. I just saw a barge full of supplies (1000 shirts, hundreds of Rmats and tons of other stuff) delivered directly to Collie door by some alting wardens. If that's how this game is supposed to look now then screw it, i want nothing to do with this nonsense. I just wish I could ask for a refund after 9 hours.

It's absolutely terrible.
Both sides end up doing it because the developers don't do anything to punish this behavior. As shown in the other thread about team killing, all you get are temporary bans but there's no permanent solution.
Also sucks because of the queues, people doing this sabotaging are also taking up a potential spot for someone who'd want to just play the game.

Edit: Decided to play a little and almost immediately I see folks in logi chat complaining that someone claimed they were "helping" and destroyed a container full of supplies.
Then as I sat there, watching artillery bomb the base for over 100+ shells, I realized something...
While sabotaging mats and vehicles is one thing.
There is literally no way to stop someone from being an artillery spotter for the other side.
Could be in discord with them, walking around the base, spotting targets for them. Telling them where to correct their aim. There's no way to stop that.
Made me realize just how much I hate artillery in the game lol...

yeah but artillery is pretty inaccurate from what I've noticed. You might get a good general location from a 'spy spotter' but - you'd get the same information from good normal one.

The spy could be put to better use.

Also, I'm not sure where people think the devs are or could be profiting off this nonsense. You don't have to buy another copy of the game in order to make a flippin' alt. There are legit ways IN STEAM to make separate accounts and share the game through those accounts.

You can't play the game if the original player is playing any of their games, but - if you're using it as an alt?? no problem.

so no. If the devs have a way of stopping this, they will - SIMPLY BECAUSE it doesn't profit them AT ALL to not. In fact if anything, this sort of behavior **will** hurt their bottom line.

And yes. There are new players. and yes they do incredibly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. (on both sides) - TO BE HONEST, those idiots who took a barge loaded with supply and shirts to the front door of the enemy could've legit thought (cuz none of them had radios, or bothered to check reports) that they could start a forward base right at the enemy's doorstep.

Or they could be griefers.

There's really no way of knowing. But I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that for every one actual griefer, there's 2 newbies, and 3 complete dumbasses who are causing you hurt. I've seen it, I've seen players get hit with the dumb stick so hard they take a gas truck from a crucial supply point so they can 'gEt To Da FrOnT fAsTeR'

The only REAL way to stop dumb players though is to have dedicated instructors and/or Liasions who sit in the rear and direct traffic/correct mistakes. The problem is that most of us expect people who just got the game to either have done research or played around on the tutorial island longer than 2 minutes.

The only real way to stop griefers would be to remove ANY and ALL benefit from griefing. Which, someone said earlier, that some people only want to watch the world burn, so griefing by definition - will always be a thing. BUT it could be mitigated.

A few hours ago I was playing and got to help report and ban two players who were absolutely griefing.

One kept unlocking vehicles, parking them to block roads, then relocking them.

Another... As we were pushing forward with tanks against the enemy, the dude kept trying to build mines in front of our tanks.

Folks called them out on it and people mass reported.

The devs already have or will deactivate family share btw. Can't find the source, sry.

Yall say this, but when the same person drives 3 vehicles over a bridge and blows them up (He didn't even have a gunner). That's an Alt or Griefer.

When 5 loaded halftracks are removed from a secure Bunker Base and taken to the edge of Enemy territory to be left, in a row, unlocked, for the enemy to take. That is an alt or griefer.

Your 95% may apply to general day to day stuff like going afk near a bunker base or accidentally running over people w/ logi, but it is often very clear when someone is alting/griefing on a frontline.

EDIT:

And frankly the fact that four of my buddies and I spend around 2 hours making, packaging, and mass transporting those things to the frontline only to have an alt/griefer delete 50/66.6% of them in less than 20 minutes made us a tad bit angry.

It isn't fair or fun, and when it happened every one of us logged off and called it a day and haven't played since. Sure we'll play again when we feel like it but it's things like this that neuter a game's growth.

Nope it's a new player, I remember doing stuff like that lol.

5 loaded halftracks removed from a secure bunker base isn't alting it's called new players wanting to try out armor or it's lazy vets who'd rather put idle armor to use. It's not stealing according to code of conduct, dev's intentionally removed the ability for players to personally store armor.

IMO people need to take a step back and chill out, people are too damn paranoid these days. People need to start investigating a bit before immediately shouting nonsense.

I'm not saying alt's don't exist. I'm just saying most "alt" cases are generally newbie players.
thats what a spy would say

remember loose lips lose tanks

No, failing to lock your vehicles behind anti infantry AI defenses loses tanks.
This game is more or less a joke.

Treat it as such.

If you want special treatment just get in the discord... I mean.. the mods hang out in the discord just befriend them and you will have no issues in game.

(They will legit just switch to their mod account and teleport to you as a ghost.. then they catch the person in the act and will punish them for you.)

I mean the discord is the best way to report people for punishment regardless but if you are friends with the mods then you will get something done super fast.

This is one of those games where most of the reporting and other things are handled in the discord.

Think I am kidding or something? I am entirely serious.

Hope this helps some people understand as to why their seems to be a layered structure to the society in this game... it has little to nothing to do with how good you are and more or less to do with who you know.

Very easy to get account action taken against people that you wish to if you know the right people you can get people 14 day bans 30 day bans 60 days perma hell it isnt hard just need to get a clip of something and send it to a mod in discord... nuff said.

Alt griefers and spies should get a VAC ban on their record.
