how does level work and getting commends

im at level 5 but like i only have 1 commend

level is direct correlation to you as a player, it is not visible to anyone else.

Commends of gained by playing the game and given to other players to improve their rank (pvt, cpl, lt and such)

both level and commends are gained through actions, killing enemies, delivering logi, working a fac.

Level. You gain levels as you play and "do things". I'm not sure what exactly causes you to gain levels and what not, but I assume things like building/repairing/scrooping, doing damage to the enemy/vehicles/structures, etc.

Commends (to spend). You gain commends you can then give to others, in much the same way as you gain levels. If you kill/damage the enemy, if you build, if you scroop, if you produce, etc. you gain commends, which you can spend on others. But it is much easier to get commends when doing logi-related work. When you do a lot of manufacturing in particular, the commends pile up pretty fast.

Rank. You gain rank (private, OcdT, Captain, etc.) by getting commended by other players.


So, it is theoretically possible to be level 1, are very new the game and have barely played a lot, but still be a Field Marshall (highest rank in the game), simply because everyone and their mom commended you. (There are limits to how many commends you can get in a day, though)

And it is also theoretically possible to be a very high level, which means you have done a lot in game, so you have played a lot. But still be a private, because almost nobody has commended you, for some reason.


So you can be high rank and know nothing. And you can also be low rank, but know a lot. That is why so many people say that rank means nothing.
