Do Colonials have any bad small arms now?
I think with the Catana buff colonials now have no bad weapons for their infantry. All of them are super versatile and sometimes just straight out perform their warden counter parts. Even stuff that is on the edge of what I'd call an infantry weapon like the Lamentum and Ratcatcher aren't even a contest. 200 rounds vs 150 while dealing almost double damage is just insane for ammo economy if nothing else is considered.

Of course this doesn't change the feeling that I've had since I started playing of being outclassed by Colonial infantry weapons at nearly every stage of the war. We'll see if that changes when the Booker is unlocked since that got a massive 20% damage increase but in the meantime Warden infantry still feels so damn rough.

Best rifle -> Blackerow -> Loughcaster

May I assume you are a Warden player? As this is often where most criticism in this game on smaller mechanics comes from - reflection.

Blakerow is good but I think it's overhyped. Blooms really quickly during rapid fire which makes landing the 3 shots you need to kill at longer range hard. Loughcaster's only redeeming trait over the Argenti is the accuracy at max range (and a measly 2m more range which is almost never a deciding factor). It's not worth writing home about when long rifles out perform it at > 27m and cannons/MGs delete you for trying to play to the Lough's strengths past the first few days of the war.

Most of the time yes, last time I played collies was Inferno. Haven't played much since then until about a month or two ago.

I’d say the Catara and omen are still bad, the sniper is just meh…

Sampo is still the better auto-rifle of the two, in my opinion. But now most of the small-arms in the game have at least a niche if nothing else, nothing on the Warden side is bad either.

1 bomastone or isg round or a couple of shot from literally any collie infantry weapon and you can have any warden weapon you want.

Well collies have this issue with being unable to aim, because bombastone is better than any rifle they have - and including its 100% change to bleed blast radius, it has a longer range than warden rifles.

Not to mention collie light MGs. Not that you need those, after all you get MG trucks, RPG jeeps, MG tankettes, and buy one get five free MPF tanks with 50% more health than warden tanks. So yeah, as a warden player we capture and use collie stuff - because it is literally better.

You think the game is balanced? Give us a war with both sides having collie equipment, bet the wardens win within a week.

Harpa is inferior to bombastone, and the Luniaire is just flat out OP.

Collie rifles keep getting buffed as well - they shoot through terrain this war.
