Honestly, I came back and was underwhelmed, the balance is even worse than it was two years ago. Warden subs are fun, but other than that, play Green - they are literally better.
There is also no real reason to wait for the new war, as bases just get deleted by the large naval vessels, self propelled guns, and ballista rushes (20 tanks), so dive in and see whether you like the "upgraded" gameplay. Many do not, and it is now questionable whether building bases is worth the effort, so seeing how the endgame plays may avoid a lot of wasted time making meta bases that just cannot survive the upgraded collie tanks (note howis were nerfed last years as well, so bases really do fall over fast).
We wanted to concentrate on building early factories and crafting vehicles, not much focusing on battles themselves this time.
The current war is entering the final push. Collies are on top and Warden players are starting to lose moral. I think a few regiments have already called it quits in terms of organised pushes. Probably about 2 weeks for the current war to finish and then up to a week gap in the resistance phase(could be as short as a day). It's hard to say confidently, EU times the Wardens still have the numbers advantage and push back hard on Collie wins in NA timezones.
You can always see the current progress of the war over here: https://foxholestats.com
Ignore me or not, the make 3 get 2 free MPT tanks, which upgrade with factories into one of the best tanks in the game that got buffed for this war, and the Ballista with health nearly the same as a warden battle tank, and honestly the only reason for green to ever lose is incompetence. Which, of course, is on full display which is why they may yet lose this war.
So... skill and gameplay IS a factor, so the game isn't as broken or imbalanced as you imply?
I've read a few of your posts, since you seem to put your stuff everywhere, you seem the epitomy of the mad cos bad player.
No, the game is absolutely broken. Its just that the Collonial weapons do not promote skilled gameplay, because when you have the best everything, you don;t need to learn to aim to win.
Think about it - Collies heavy gun vehicle has a roof. Wardens does not. Bombastone has a longer range ... and a 100% bleed chance. Guess which vehicle is always easily knocked out by infantry, and often captured (indeed there are Youtube videos if you don;t believe me).
That isn't skill. That's hard coded bias in favor of the Colonials.
And today, when I flasked an Ares four times ... that wasn't my skill being an issue. The colonial infantry seemed confused that someone would actually flank them. Because let's get real, there is a core of bittervets who say the game is amazing, and every war an influx of new players - who get stomped on hard, and usually quit soon after the novelty wears off.
Mad cause game has even worse balance than it used to have, and I liked this game.
Honestly: let's go back to both sides have the same equipment. They you would soon discover how much skill you have, Sir.
Accurate.
Although the Collies have had 25 hexes to m-supp, which means a massive number of bases and factories will have fallen down, because its just not possible to build - and maintain - so many. That is why Warden counteroffensives are often brutal, the back lines get neglected "because the war is basically over" - then it isn't.
