(frag)Grenade Range vs Rifle Range
Why are these comparable? Especially Bomastone with it's larger blast radius and inexplicably longer range. Either grenades have way to much range or rifles don't have enough range. Really makes grenade spam annoying as hell especially at night where every other infantry weapon is supposed to be more viable but is out ranged by grenades.

Well that should to make you NOT stay in those silly trench at night and try to ambush or infiltrate enemy line... or something. Also we have a 2-3 meters advantage over your harpa... wich can kills us rather than wound (if your healthy). You dont have a plastic toy on your side guys!!!

Both cruel and accurate... until you guys unlock something that give us a really sucky equivalent on our side. Like say the artillery where we have to go out there and take arty barrage in the a** like real men while you stay safe in your trench like pus***

Naaah thats where you are wrong.

Every warden knows from first hand experiance of eating enough bomas, trench = bad.

Also collies have arty aswell what are you even on about lol. You guys artied the ♥♥♥♥ out of Moors few days ago, after you couldn't break our infantry defending the town without arty.

Where did I say anything about trenches? I'm talking about weapon ranges. Gas grenades are relatively short range and do a great job at forcing people out of trenches.

Also... Harpa's being shorter range means that you have to be closer and generally more vulnerable to enemy fire. They also have to be cooked and aimed in order to be effective and are only useful for guaranteeing kills on pinned/trapped targets otherwise. Meanwhile Boma's are safer to use because of their range and are effective at their task even when mindlessly spammed in the enemy's general direction because they guarantee bleed and have such a large explosion radius compared to the Harpa.

Harpas are basically better at killing people whilst boma's are better at forcing people to move into places where they will be killed through area denial. I would take bomas over harpas any time because they are better at controlling player movement and that's how you win battles in this game. Killing the enemy and their objectives is the reward for good ground control.

This doesn't even address the larger crate size and grenade uniforms which are just icing on the bias cake.

Its not a range issue, its the fact that you can throw a grenade at exactly the same spot every single time because there is no concerns of accuracy or dispersion with the weapon type. I do believe that grenades should have had accuracy nerfed long ago. Imagine if you couldnt throw a grenade into a foxhole at max range, it would make taking cover way more meaningful instead of having some dude suicide charge with one grenade and clear an entire trench because they have 100% accuracy

I think nerfing the accuracy of grenades would just make them frustrating to use rather than fixing any of the issues I think they have.

About as frustrating to use as a rifle at max range without stability? Grenades are plain busted

I guess if they had an aim time so you could still accurately throw them from a safe spot that would be fine. This should apply to launchers as well since you can shadow dance and perfectly fire them as well. And the launchers have even longer ranges than rifles at 31 metres for osprey and lunaire.

Well, Bomastones do feel a bit OP, tbh. The shrapnel range and ability to pre-cook the grenade makes them ideal for crowd control, and the range is surprisingly long in a game where you can't really see further than 30m without binocs XD
