Removing own structures

How do people usually adapt their facilities as new tech is unlocked?

There doesn't seem to be any ability in game to actually deconstruct even your own structures, limited ability to demolish your own structures (flagging and then blowing it up, still gets weapons locked and potentially banned for large amounts), there seems to be no way to change a facility as required.

Considering the tech available to build facilities, trains etc. changes multiple times over the course of a war, this seems like a huge flaw in the way building is handled in Foxhole.

Am I missing something crucial?

As a side note: There seems to be no way at all to remove a BB that has been built near another BB after the initial demolition timer has expired. Can't even flag BBs.

After the initial demolition timer? Flagging and then blowing it up is the way to do it.
It is a pain to do; your best bet is to ask for help in region chat. If you are lucky: kind souls will pull up and help you out.

this is why i stopped playing.
That, and not being able to remove trees, its impossible to build anything decent because of so many trees, only few spots in a whole world where you can build a facility that can defend itself. and those get taken by big regiments

To add to that bunker management is aids as well with it's stupid power distribution system, which probably eats more server resources than a single number attached to a grid would ever do.
