How is the naval stuff?
Hello fellow warfighters! I don't have the time to play at the moment and there doesn't seem to be any threads in the first couple pages of the forum's so hey I figured I'd ask!
Is it active? Are people getting into it?

It's definitely a bit more scarce than some people might be expecting... but it's definitely there. Wardens lost their first sub in Able just yesterday. The Colonials have several destroyers, and we've been training the crew for all of them. Hopefully, by the end of the war, hundreds of players (if not thousands) will have experience running ships.

How is the naval stuff.

Warden gunboat outclaases colonial gunboat, colonial gunboat is very easy to decrew and wardens have quite a supply of colonial gunboats because of this, they are both quite fun.

DD aka deeply depressing is deeply depressing despite multiple attempts and waves of warden gunboats we have not yet killed any deeply depressing due to it vastly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ outclassing the warden gunboat because the developers decided to give each side a unique vessel while ignoring the fact one is vastly superior than the other and while in theory the superior warden gunboat can kill a destroyer it tends to come escorted by multiple gunboats which while inferior still deal damage.

Submarines...Submissive and absolutely borked and are not intended to counter destroyers but go and hunt unarmed, unescorted freighters which as you might imagine is not a priority for such a time invested vessel that most are simply ignoring it and the ones that aren't are enjoying dealing with the many unique selling points of subs such as limited time underwater and sea mines which once placed cannot be removed and last for 48 hours and cost the same as a single 150MM with mines already littering the few bridge routes out of friendly territory and since the subs cannot roll over and pretend to be lifeless and are slower then destroyers they have no escape once a destroyer is in the area.

Battleships are currently the wardens only hope for dealing with destroyers while at the same time having to deal with other battleships.

The new mobile storage ship a mobile storage seaport has an automated rapid fire town mortar house accuracy mortar turret that fires at small vessels within 75-200 meters from the vessel for the wardens this means until battleships we cannot kill this vessel as our gunboat requires 100 or less distance to engage, our battle barges and gunboats will die before getting close enough without swarming and purposefully choosing to lose vessels to get within range of a deployed storage vessel for a chance to take it out.

The new naval invasion vessel which replaces the white whale is honestly kind of crap. Due to the cost of the vessel players deploy it at sea launching landing craft with hordes of infantry, which if you haven't established a foothold means your guys on land will be dead before the next landing comes so the next landing craft drives straight into a beach swarmed with very excited and bullet zealous enemies and have zero chance of making it off of the landing crafts ramp swiftly ending a naval invasion

Really felt the navy bombarding the island I was on with gunboats while we were defending it from landboats with rifles. I've seen more landboat operations lately and some minor skirmishes here and there. But frankly, not enough.

Most Naval combat I've seen were budget naval fights. Landboat vs Landboats.
