The game was very good & the developers should be proud but the game moderation was 2nd only to Eve online in managment incompetency.
That was a few years ago, it hasn't changed much tbh because pew idolized other azzhats.
It's kind of like pointing out to people that, for example, the Vietnam war ended only 44 years ago; all the ♥♥♥♥ back then was likely caused by many of the people still in positions of influence and power today.
I always found that players at least in Colonials, don't know Wardens, make a lot of public facilities so if i missed X material i could get it from another base which i resupply back as token of appreciation.
However, there is too much resource hoarding, there are a LOT of things being produced in logi sectors but at the front you are always somewhat stuck with basic weapons + diesel powered vehicles and bmats.
If you wanted rockets,at,petrol either you gotta pray someone is going to put it there or you'll likely never see anything other than 7.62, mammons, bandages and other bmats weapons.
I always had to drag my own stuff my own petrol everywhere.
On one side the situation is not so critical on the other is very delicate and might "collapse" from one day to another.
I myself run public mats factory as a solo, but I also put in a bit of time usually. From what I've seen if someone is asking to upgrade they just ask and someone will help if they can. There are several public pads where I've been operating, but of course it's going to be tougher on the frontlines to find materials.
One idea I had though, one change I'd like to see, is for facilities to not burn GSupps while they are actively being used. Or maybe scale the GSupp burn so very small, focused facilities can store enough to at least make it 24 hrs before decay.
Would love it if they removed the Maintenance Hatches's non-powered consumption. Think it doubles if its not constantly powered which makes a 140+gsupp consumption quite intense
mine always showed 52 gsups per hour, in both powered and unpowered state.
What i'd like to see is a higher gsup storage cap, like 2,5k or 5k
It takes a bit of time until it updates the actual cost, but ive spoken with others and there is an actual multiplier when not powered
i still haven't seen any changes. Logged out with 800-900 gsups in the maintenance tunnel, was unpowered for about 10 hours and then had about 300 gsups left when i got back online. (showed 56 gsups per hour before i logged out).
Or maybe it's just a very small multiplier.
i agree, it's always very difficult to get the hands on components to turn them into r-mats and those r-mats into advanced infantry weapons.
And then you check 2 facilities and see 7k pcmats (that's about 140k components worth) unused in the stockpile....
those components could have been 875 bane 45's (175 crates) for the frontline infantry.
or like 3 super tanks or 15 BT's
coal is even worse, oil is a f'n nightmare to work with
a train with cars is about 700 and railway from one end to the other of the region about another 200-250, isn't it?
It pretty consistently has 1.5-2k people playing it, player count isn't trending down slowly over time overall
But i guess that since a bunch of people tried the game out when 1.0 dropped and realized it wasn't for them the game is dead now
hmm, according to steam charts.
The amount of players have decreased from ~3,5k to 2,1k during peak hours and from 1,6k to 1k during lowest hours over the past 30 days.
add inevitable 4AM alting and partisan activity; even 7k won't be enough
after all the work you put into it, you'll realise boats are superior in every way.
no 24/7 guard
no rail management with 20 bases in the way
no 5 hour crate loading
no gargantuan coke stockpile
no massive stockpile of 700+ crates before moving
no fighting over components and oil
no massive facility
no full time rail job (this is a real thing for train operators, compared to other "full time logi" comments this is a real 8+ hour daily project)
