Cant upgrade Bunker
I have like 6 T2 bunkers that wont upgrade from just being T2, like the MG, Rifle, AT are dark. I am connected to the other bunkers that let me do it. Why are they not working?

Do you have access to a cement mixer? To upgrade bunker pieces into tier 3 you need cement instead of your normal materials.

There is a limit to how far you can "draw tech" from the bunker core. Up to X "pieces" removed from the core, with each piece being a trench or bunker piece. I don't know what X is, as I'm not a builder: best ask someone else. But if you are saying you can build garrisons in other pieces and then suddenly you can't anymore, my guess is those new pieces are outside of the range. You can either build a "trench highway" to where you are building, i.e. get to where you are building in less "pieces" (and you can afterwards fill in those trenches again. Or you need to build a new bunker core somewhere closer.

But again: I'm no builder, so best to ask for proper advice from a veteran builder first.

If there's an already upgraded bunker piece (MG, AT, WT) right next to it without at least a trench inbetween then it won't be possible. Can say that much without screenshots of the bunker.

Bunker pieces require a pipe connection to the core, and the core needs tech. Maximum reach is around 40 pipes or so?

Guns must be placed in a checkerboard layout, with a vanilla piece in between every gun. A common "W" configuration packs high firepower in a tight layout.

Pipes are only for providing lights at night, if they are connected to fuelled engine rooms.

Yeah this was the solution I found out in game by a very excellent builder who happened to be nearby as the baker war was nearing its end. Thanks!

Yeah I heard it was 40 as well. I have seen the W configuration and it looks awesome. For this last war my base was in a tight area so I stuck with the standard 3 bunkers next to each-other build.
