Officer Uniforms
What was even the point of adding officer uniforms, they don't even do anything except wasting two backpack slots. It would be useful if they were given perks like longer range for binos and map intel updating faster. Hell, maybe even have nearby players have a temporary gun accuracy buff when an officer is around.

Yes. I actually thought the binos buff was gonna be a thing. Am disappointed I haven't wore one yet since am not in a regiment.

They mostly exist for RP reasons... other than that, you don't need them... which is fine imho.

It is extremely useful for our weekly Sunday promotion ceremony. Which ends with the beloved "officer hunt", where us unarmed grunts have to run for our lives while the present officers hunt us down like frightened rabbits.

Officer uniform should allow you to use a sword, slot 1 weapon, copy of bayonette, so it wouldn't be a buff, maybe swings faster.

Love the idea of being able to use a sword.

But I disagree with the OP that every uniform needs to have a 'point'. If a clan leader wants to have a bit of fun in an officer's uniform, then why not? If they don't then they don't have to wear it. I often see them commanding artillery batteries where the uniform makes little difference.

The problem is that they cost bmats to make just like any other uniform. As a logi, why would you make officer uniforms that serve no purpose other than to stroke a clan leader's ego when you can spend those bmats on medic or engineer uniforms? In fact, I think I only saw officer uniforms in a frontline relic base once or twice. It's utterly useless except for RP.

Now, I don't mind the RP element of being an officer in the battlefield, in fact that would be pretty cool, but I don't see why the officer uniform shouldn't have perks like the rest.

Dude. go look at the giant AT&T network some Warden built in Speaking Woods out of watch towers. People find stupid ways to waste B Mats.

That doesn't change what I said about officer uniforms being practically useless. Watchtowers are useful for obvious reasons, but when people waste bmats drawing an AT&T out of WTs then that's the players' fault, not the WTs.

Okay. Go draw up a concept and send it to them then.

Even if they're mostly for fun a small use case would be nice. Like let your local voice comms reach teammates further away and vice-versa.

Stroke my ego-i will need a uniform that does nothing. My ego is to strong! (makes me look at people that compensate for their inadequate ability.)
