This is an all war game where you can be infantry, anti tank, builder, logistics, there's no such thing as to worry about. You can sit with others in trench take shots etc, rush if they do. One time I lived 1 hour and 30 minutes and we pushed proper, was good. Ammo you can loot from the dead soldiers and weapons that's the cool part.
NO AI, the only AI are some bunkers people can build on the frontlines that fire at the enemy and can be taken out as for that, all soldiers are real players.
Maybe i'll give it a try when it is fully released.
The very positive reviews, are also a good sign.
If you want to get skilled fast and become a part of the community, here is some advice.
Never be afraid to ask questions. People ask questions all the time. Don't make the mistake of thinking that everyone arounds you would think it tedious to answer questions. Half the people around you probably want to ask the same thing but are shy. Can you build a rifle garrison with a CV? How do I equip my bayonet? What's the difference between 40mm and 68mm? What's an OCdt?
Just a few questions I remember hearing over the past few days. Ask and people will tell you. Vets want to train you on how to be effective in combat, logistics, and engineering.
Want to get some tank experience but don't want to risk driving such an expensive piece of equipment? Offer to be a machinegunner or main-gunner on a tank. Often times, tanks are drive to the front without a full crew. Sometimes, only with a driver. But usually with just a driver and a main-gunner. Offer to be a machine-gunner. You can get valuable experience without the stress of risking expensive vehicles when you lack experience using them.
Also, get a microphone. I won't beat around the bush, having effective communication is vital. People do sometimes use local chat. But if you are in the midst of battle and NEED someone to get onto the gunner's seat on a pushgun right now, you will want to be yelling it.
Hope this helps and I hope to see you on the battlefield.
