meh, I find it fun to use bayonet. So I disagree.

If you make it to the enemy lines that you're able to bayonet, you deserve the killing spree you can go on

nah its too strong, it should be 100% nerfed, people disagreeing are just bayonet users.

People agreeing are tunnel vision infantry with no situational awareness

Tryhards will defend their bayonet

the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bayonet boy can turn 180 degrees in nanoseconds

bayonet is fine I know it sucks to be killed by a bayonet but it does happen for a lack of situational awareness either yours or other teammates, also newbies digging trenches everywhere and not putting barbed wire

Being instantly killed by the bayo is not the problem, it's the fact that you can swing it like a katana when a bayo is obviously made for thrusting. If a nerf should be done to the bayo, it should be decreasing the speed in which you can turn when stabbing.

If you see someone with a bayonet attached, dont let them get close kill them first. If you dont see it because of poor awareness then that is on you. In close quarter situation always expect the next corner may have a bayonet.

Nerfing bayonet will make it useless, and bayonet is a very important to have especially in storming trenches, so I disagree. If anything the devs need to add MORE melee weapons like trench clubs, sharpened spades, bayonet in hand or combat knife, short sword for officer.

I've killed bayonet users point blank with pistol. There is a stun mechanic in the game, you just got to hit them. Once a bayonet player is hit, they're a sitting duck. Sorry, but even though you claim otherwise, 99% of bayonet kills are because people weren't paying attention or calling them out. There used to be getting stuck withdrawing items from a base and being helpless to stop a bayonet charging at you, but that is no longer the case. The final 1% is because your internet hates you.

However, if there IS a nerf to be given to the bayonet, perhaps one hit should down you, but it takes two hits to kill.

Point blank with a pistol wouldn't be too noticeable, but try shooting point blank with a rifle. That's where you can find the biggest flaw of the gun mechanic, where the enemy is right in front of you but you still have to rely on RNG to actually hit him. But anyway, that's aside the OP's subject.

My point is, if bayonets can be countered with the starter pistol, then it's hard to claim it is OP. However, I would be fine with the bayonet causing a downed state after one stab rather than an instant kill. Also, don't the Wardens already have armor to counter it? Judging based on the stats, it would take three bayonet stabs to kill someone in armor.
