Am I missing something about petrol?
New player here,
So the wiki says an oil well will produce 1 oil barrel (2 if it runs on petrol) every 960 seconds.
3 oil barrels are required to make 1 petrol.

How does every oil well on the map have over 900 petrol in it then?
The wiki page says that it might be inaccurate.. did they change numbers or am I missing something?
How do people get so much petrol.

Hello, this is not the right data.
The 900 petrol that you saw are surely the 900L that the mine has to work with, so 900L is equal to 9 cans of PETROL.
The cans you can collect are CRUDE OIL, barrels.

Because the server has been running for days on end, stuff still goes on when you log out

Yes, I get that but it doesn't check out.
This war has been on for what? 4 days?
If one oil well runs 24 hours on petrol it produces 180 oil barrels in that time.
I think we have 11 oil wells that produce 1980 oil barrels per day.
7920 oil barrels in the 4 days (irl) this war has been going for..
That's 2640 petrol we should have compared to the 9900+ we have in oil wells alone.

Is the 960 seconds ingame time or something? The wiki made it seem like irl time. Makes more sense because there is no way to see ingame time except for the days?
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thank you! That makes a lot more sense.. I didn't know that it would display the liters.. just thought it would be cans of petrol

The mines display the liters of diesel and PETROL for its consumption, as well as the number of products manufactured on site.
good play

The amount that petrol gives in the mine is dependent on population. If there is extremely high population on a server the petrol will give 9 per unit, but generally I have seen 6 per unit. So 1 can of petrol gives 100 units, so 1 can is 100 x 6 units or 600, so if you put 10 cans in a mine, it should give you 6000 components or sulfur (don't put petrol in scrap mines obviously).
