Upcoming Price Change [Fall 2021]
As mentioned earlier this year, there will be a price increase happening for Foxhole before the 1.0 release to continue to support long term development while staying true to our policy to not sell microtransactions.

We will be sure to give everyone another notice via our Devstream and Discord, but expect this to happen in the fall (September or later). This price change won't affect any existing users and only those planning on purchasing the game in September and beyond.

For more advance information on our upcoming 1.0 release, please refer to our 1.0 Release FAQ

UPDATE: The price change is happening on Oct 20th. The game's price will be adjusted to $29.99 USD.

I'd rather you guys find another way to monetize the game tbh. How are you supporting continuous development and hosting servers by relying on new players. The game has a high learning curve and is not a standard military game nor a standard MMORPG, it's not exactly beginner friendly.

Just sell us some few dollar hats, coats or skins Clapfoot. The cosmetic will look so unnoticeable but id buy it just to support you. 🤣

"I'd rather you guys find another way to monetize the game tbh" Thats not a very good idea, if im being honest. Im fine with skins, but micro transactions are just not good, neither is skin trading. I'd rather skins just be free things you unlock with rank maybe but not too outrageous. Maybe just a medic cross patch or a winter coat or something like that.

I think this is a good idea, the skin cost could cover server uptime and potentially development costs. Take a unique spin on it, for each war the community can purchase into specific skin, the skin with most purchases gets applied to entire team.

Uhm skins ARE microtransactions. Anything you buy inside the game; be it cosmetic, pay to win items, xp boosters or whatnot are called microtransactions. Although the only microtransactions we want in this game are obviously things that don't add any advantage whatsoever

Vehicle stickers!! Class-based uniforms (medic, builder, scrappers, etc etc)! Rank-based uniforms or hats that you can't buy if you're not in the specific rank yet. Oh jesus lawd. Clapfoot will earn a bit more without hurting the game whatsoever, and people get to flex their digital chump change.

As i said, if you would read instead of getting mindlessly angry, is that skins would be cool if they were free and not outrageously cartoonish like fortnite or COD cold war. I still think that skin trading of any kind (steam marketplace) is unhealthy and can run a community into the ground, i mean we have all seen what happened with CSGO, no?

I am not angry, I just emphasized the word "are". I agree that skin trading on Steam is toxic af. But making free cosmetics don't give Clapfoot money tho.

Decide whether to buy the game now, because the game will become 1.0 soon and will increase in price

Just check on https://isthereanydeal.com for deals on games you are interested in (yes there is one Foxhole sale atm).

Regarding MTX. I am 100% ok for cosmetic MTX until there are no loot boxes or other random rewards. Tho pulling off cosmetics in this game may be tight.
