From what I understand the armor penetration will be great if we are flanking an enemy tank and it will be very weak from the front. Hmm. Warden tanks have only axial AT! In addition, they are slow with a very slow turret rotation. They will not be able to flank an enemy in practice. They will just be able to shoot from the front and up close because they will always have a worse range than our tanks.
This mechanic is a good idea, but it only strengthens the Colonial's strong point (fast and turret rotation speed) and worsens the warden's weak point (slow and little, or no, turret rotation). Colonials will have their offensive and fast gameplay even better. And nothing is really given to the Wardens to allow them to develop an asymmetric gameplay other than serving as a punching ball for the Colonials.
The Warden ballista will not give them an advantage in tank battles. And not sure that the noblewidow will be played with this kind of gameplay (already that it is not played) or it is necessary to modify this tank (sniper tank which shoots in azimuth with a great range?).
A solution would be interesting to put a fast tank side wardens which can destroy a tank (the recon 2 in light version maybe?).
