The colonials definitely look like the Allies while the wardens look like Axis.
I just started playing last night and that's how I picked my side.
I have a tendency to gravitate towards what feels more "relatable" or the "good side" in RPGs, especially for first runs. So, that may be what others went with too.
wardens literally wear french ww1 trench uniforms.
There's nothing wrong with the wardens look but I prefer the olive green US army style of the colonials.
I think it's great that the devs made the effort of having unique looks and vehicles for the factions rather than having generic units with different colours for each team. But obviously the drawback of having unique looks is that people will have a preference.
You have a Twitter too with co stat
For example for the currently war you have a 25-32% wardens against 68-75% colonial players (depending the day)
So between 2 and 3 colonial players against 1 warden player.
They'll be back with the armor change and their Ballistahand with a HVMG spamming "sounds like a skill prob get gud cope and seethe" etc etc next update.
And therefore its Ok to have Colonial overpopulation and OP weapons. Right? k .. cool. *plays other games in the meantime*

They all look like generic WW1 weapons, especially the ugly storm rifle. With exception to the mp40 looking smg.

Reading them snickering about in world chat about rushing tech to get tanks, was cringe.
Collies have more people doing logistics and tech. They constantly tell everyone to gather all tech and bring it to one place. Wardens dont. I dont know about this war because i switched sides to see for myself.
Europe is 8 hours ahead of USA and the logistics hubs for Warden won't be as active at 04:00 as it is for Colonials at 20:00. Wardens are mainly Europeans and Colonials USA, but there are people from allover the world in both teams. Our population goes down by a lot at late/early European hours when Colonials rush with high pop, vice versa.
