Still boring for me, cant play it more than 1hour.
Only thing i like is being a medic, supplies is dull, combat is atrocious.
War simulator? What a joke, its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ top down arcade rts with sim elements. HELLA ARCADEY and nowhere near a war sim.
There are 0 tactics on infantry tnx to respawn and chokepoints, mindless rushing and 'grenade rushers'.
This is not a war sim or near other mil'sim.
'sims aint for you' load of bollocks. Arma3 or Squad are proper and fun sim games.
Other top down shooters do better combat than this.
And of course you’ll get bored if you don’t vary your gameplay and only play as medic.
Either way, this game obviously isn’t for you.
I'm just saying be fair in your comparisons, its not a war sim.
There is no actual 'tactics' that resemble anything smart. Ofc you don't go alone, but its just mindless pushing.
Oh and pushing under the cover of artilery fire, about as 'tactical' as it gets.
There are no tactics if you don’t actually use them lol. A group that actually coordinates an attack is going to do far better than the lemmings that constantly throw themselves into enemy fire.
You can’t expect the game to play smart for you, since every soldier in game is another player, you have to be the one to maybe say “hey, let’s try something g different”. And if you find a front line to be getting nowhere, then go find another, or find a squad or regiment that are actually doing things.
Hardly any fights in open terrain, you end up at chokepoint for most of the war. You rarely see flanks or ambushes in enemy territory to get their logi supplies and whatnot.
When it does happen its great, i love it. But to little of that happens in the game cuz of these chokepoints areeas that take most of the war time.
Honestly a better name for this game based on how its played would be.
'Chokepoint wars, frontal assault'.
When people say “war sim” they’re not saying it’s like Arma or Squad. That’s mostly in reference to how it’s closer to actual war, with logistics, and how each side is constantly gaining and losing ground on 1 constant map.
This is what happens if you don't research the game you buy. Foxhole is far from Arma3 or Squad. In fact, I won't call Squad a simulator. It's just a slower Battlefield or Insurgency.
Foxhole isn't an action focused game. A major portion of the game is done outside the frontlines. And I see you only complain about the combat, because you obviously bought a game that is clearly not for you.
Foxhole outside the combat is more akin to zen simulator games like Farming Simulator, American/Euro Truck Simulator, House Flipper, Car Mechanic Simulator. They are the types of sims that a lot of action focused players, like you, might feel like "work".
I suggest you quit your yammering and move on to the next game. You're like a kid ranting about buying a blue sock and complain you got a blue sock.
