cant rotate camera

it is fine if the button to rotate the camera is middle mouse button but i am just used to having my rotating camera button on alt it doesnt rotate

I've encountered this bug and seemingly have no way to fix it. I've tried everything, but nothing seems to fix it. I've tried resetting controls to defaults. I've tried restarting my game. I've messed with the settings. I'll probably resort to uninstalling and reinstalling my game. It seems like you can change "rotate camera" keybind to something else and it works fine, but trying to have it on middle mouse button does not work for some odd reason. I'll update this post if I ever discover a fix.

Edit: I've fixed the issue but I can't be sure exactly what I did. I ended up doing a full reinstall (I cant be sure this did anything but I thought I'd mention it just in case) and when I resumed the problem was still persisting. I began messing around again, and when I equipped my hammer in the spawn region and hovered my mouse over my player character, it suddenly began working again. I wish I could tell you more, but good luck to whoever finds this in the future.
