Foxhole Voice Chat Errors Resolved
Hello, this is the Captain speaking.
After a few days of continuous trouble with Foxhole Voice Chat (e.g. error (8) 6-0, and a couple others) I have finally found a solution that works for me every time.

First, make sure that the device you are using is set up with Steam voice. To do this, open Steam. Click on "Friends & Chat" in the bottom right corner. In the small window that pops up, click the gear icon. On the bottom left, click voice. Make sure that the voice input and output device is the device you are using. Assign the push to talk key as "T," which is also the default for Foxhole Voice Chat. Use the Microphone Test at the top to make sure everything works. Then, exit the windows you have opened.

Secondly, open File Explorer (most people keep it pinned to taskbar). Click on your C: Drive... or whatever letter you have assigned to it. Navigate to Program Files (x86). Go down to the Steam Folder and open it. In the Steam folder, go down to the "steam" folder and open that one. Open the folder named "cached." Delete everything inside.

Exit all windows, open Foxhole, and your comms should be up and running.

So im confused, is the glitch more about people cant hear YOU or you cant hear OTHER peoples mics, because I was playing today and I had people saying they were using their mics but i couldnt hear anything at all from them. Is it me effected by this or them?

Worked for me, ty.

So Derp123, the glitch is different in certain situations. The problem that you have is the same thing that happened to me when I first bought this game a couple of weeks ago. It's affecting you. Try following the instructions above and restarting your game. It definitely should work, but I hope the devs figure it out soon. Praise to them for a great game though.

Yeah I just decided to Uninstall the game and reinstall and it got fixed. :steamhappy:

Dear Captain, I just started playing the game I have tried all of the above without success. I do hear everybody but no-one can hear me. Are there any other developments in this matter?

I haven't had any issues with audio for quite some time. You can hear everybody? That's weird. When I had issues I could not. I hope you get it figured out soon!

@SwimBiggs I have also run into more audio issues recently. This time an uninstall and reinstall fixed the issue. Other than that I suggest contacting support. Good luck to you.

didn't work

This post is quite old and the solution is probably outdated. I would suggest they may have fixed the previous issues. These issues are new to me. Hopefully future updates fix your problem. Good luck, soldiers!
