Communication
Cooperation
Coordination.
Any side that has these three things and uses them the best will win.
COMMUNISM
There are those times when a well- coördinated push, made by a clan, can lead to a stalemate being broken. There are plenty of cases on YT where a clan is highly capable of making a difference, or partisan clans wrecking supply lines. This is to be commended!
There have also been times where a clan utterly ♥♥♥♥♥ on anyone that isn't willing to play the game their way. This has led to somewhat rare cases of clans kicking & banning random people for not giving in to their desires(things like not bringing X amount of supplies, or not giving away a truck they so desperatly need). This is despicable.
Additionally, clans have the tendency to give eachother commends for simply being in said clan. This leads to clan members having high ranks in the game for simply existing, rather than having performed amazing or usefull things(logi, scrapping and doing great in a battle in any way). This is why i often question their experience, especially if they are vocal about it.
So, its a mix-match. They are welcome, as long as they never abuse their power in a awful way.
Adding to the above statements, clans are a mixed bag in short. Some are good, some are bad.
This is not very constructive. Some clans try to help randoms and use only the ressources they farmed.
They are a part of the game, allowing organized push and effective defenses on small front parts whereas the random usually fill the gaps in our line because they are more flexible.
Most clans i've worked aside have been friendly. and generally when u have an issue with one its just a random issue not that the entire clan is like that...
Clans are needed and are a very good asset, but as every asset, it has to be used correctly.
Because as previously stated, they get the job done when used correctly.
For example, I'm in CAW on the Warden side, and with just 2 ACs and a FMG (therefore just 6 players coordinating) we held up a massive collie push in Deadlands for 3h/4h, while just before without us, randoms players in infantry were just getting murdered over and over without having the possibility to counter the offensive. And we didn't "use the ressources" of the team to make it, we farmed and prepared this op during 1h30 and we used just what we needed to help counter the attack.
Once again, there is good and bad, and people need to make the difference between a few players from a clan being toxic and a clan as a whole.
I've also seen clansmen organize a supply routes, transports, resource gathering.
They are good, they are bad. Now if we only could make community realize that when you encounter that same dude for the 4th time gathering that same resource, offer to continue his job so he can do something else without cutting the resource supplies?
People who play Squad play for the Modern fighting and teamwork, people who play arma groups do it for the LARP and the modern combat.
But a noticeable amount of people who play foxhole DONT play for co-operation and teamwork but for constant gratification at the expense of others.
now enjoying a game is fine but some people expect constant action in a game about the slow grind of war.
It is not matter what should be, but what is. There will be clans, be they formal or informal.
