It's very manageable to do the resource gathering and production for a single FOB as only one logistic guy.
On many occasions I can supply a single FOB with a variety of equipment singlehandedly. If another logistic guy manages the bmats and rmats for a FOB, that FOB will have everything at it's disposal.
The problem doesn't lay with logistics, it is reliant on the infantry. If the infantry do not collect enemy kit, or their own kit. Expend resources and equipment frivalously, that is their failure.
So back to the point of a scrapper. If someone feels like they want to scrap all game, by all means go nuts, but it isn't necessary. Logistic guys can do their own scrapping.
is it worth compared to logistics doing their own scrapping? nope
its rare to see all scrap fields mined meaning the time you save by having dedicated scrapper is lost on the other fields and you are taking one supply guy from rotation to do the scrapping...
When possible, i scarp 2 to 3 fields and run or use a motorcycle to move between them, depending on the map i can actually make sure i have almost no inactivity.
