Single player or vs Bots?
Is there a single player mode or a mode against bots to train or just having relaxed fun?

"Relaxed fun"? IF you want to relax you go as a miner. If you want fun you go to front lines and fight other pepole or support your comrades.

Coding an IA to gather mats, moving resources, building outposts and so on is kinda hard, pretty much impossible for a small team. So nope.

look up "Running with Rifles" Similar game but with no base building. can play offline or with player vs ai coop or pvp. I would like to see a single player mode in this game but we'll see in the future.

Thank Raven for your input. I like the looks of this game but would not want to PVP unless its LAN or against AI. Shame too I love what this game represents.

May I suggest Slime Rancher if you're looking for "relaxed fun" gameplay. Foxhole does have moments of calm and times where you really have no combat, such as scrapping and logi in general. But I think you really want the relaxed and fun gameplay that is Slime Rancher.

Dont kill him for wanting a single player mode. Some of us old guys dont always work well with others. We have grown up on single player and thats what we are used to. It does not mean we dont like to play multiplayer as well, but like the choice. How many of you when you see multiplayer only you immediately ignore the game. I know I have done this on occasion.

Try COH2. It has SP/MP. You can set up your own games with friends vs the AI.

This game seems to cater to power trip people who want to tell others what they can and can not do while trying to PLAY a game. I see problems ahead if they do not addres this problem.
From an outsider looking in.

Very true. Not to mention most people don't have the time to play for 5 hours straight or alike. Meaning they'd obviously prefer to save the game and play later from where they left off if possible.

Id be up for a singleplayer mode if it taught players how to work in multiplayer.
It kinda worked in the Ps3 game Starhawk. Campaign was more or less a glorified tutorial.

What I would prefer is a Cooperative AI war mode. Where players work together to fight a really really hard AI force.
Without being pressured to death in PvP combat, Rookies could get a feel of how combat and wars work in general yet still have reasonable challenge.

It would be more “Relaxed” compared to straight up PvP blood wars. Not that I ever had issues with that.

No one tried to kill him. xD
It was a good question and some good answers. Sarblade summed it up best. Coding the AI to do all the tasks needed would be a ton of work. Remember this is not a giant publishing effort with millions of funds but a small indie company that is doing a great job.

a single player mode does not mean you have to code them to do everything a real player a can do. A single player mode/coop mode could be as simple as coding a survival mode where the ai just has to go to the point you're defending and try to kill any players on the way there and capture the point, or could be like a single player/coop campagin where you and friends have to do objectives.

TLDR: Making AI to simulate players would be hard, making AI for specific coop modes would not.
