lol you are complaining about problem people but YOU ARE THE PROBLEM. You have the exact mentality that this game is not compatible with.
It's hilarious how you go on, arguing your point like you're in the right.
Sorry if you realised later on that you were wrong, I only to page 3 and then got bored.
You are a hero, don't let anybody ever tell you otherwise.
Definitely. And you know what I experienced yesterday? As soon as we unlocked halftracks, 30 minutes later there were over 8 trucks parked around the vehicle factory because players drove there, built a half track and left their locked trucks behind. What the hell people? Just leave your trucks there unlocked so players who get there to build a truck for logistics can grab one immediately instead of having to waste resources and time to build yet another truck.
I'm several hours into the game now and really enjoying it. A random guy turned up the other day and we ended up doing supply runs together. The guys at the front line were very grateful for our efforts and we got commended. I later tried some combat and I got downed. A friendly medic ran to my aid and revived me. I also had my truck taken out by an enemy patrol and so I wandered off to the nearby town where a guy offered me his truck and some fuel, so I could continue my supply runs.
Sure, there have been some utter t**ts in the game - one teammate shot my truck for no reason at all, before killing me, my teammates and wasting with the supplies we were carrying to the front line. Then some other guy decided it'd be great fun to build walls around our town hall so everyone spawning was trapped. However, people like this tend to get banned, so it's their own loss really.
The idea of the game is that all vehicles are "Team assets" right so being able to lock a vehicle and its stays locked flies in the face of that idea. Even more with squad locking as the vehicle is then useless to the rest of the team for the rest of the game which could be days.
As random examples, had a truck and left it open while I was at a factory, some guy hops in it squad locks it, hops out and runs away. Even if I had got a wrench and broke the lock, the truck is still useless to me and all the materials I had in it are lost.
I came back hours later and it was still just parked there, useless to the team now.
So yes squads hoarding trucks seems to be a thing.
Solutions I would suggest. Put an ownership timer on a vehicle, you hop in press L. That vehicle is now yours or yours squads for ten minutes, only you or squad member can sit in drivers seat and access cargo hold. Timer is reset each time you interact with vehicle. If you abandon a vehicle it becomes neutral after ten minutes and can be claimed by another. So the vehicle is yours only while your are ACTIVELY USING IT.
At factories the person who puts down the blueprints gets ownership on vehicle completion, to stop someone standing there and hitting L to claim it once the builder finishes.
Passengers seats should be open to anyone to encourage truck drivers to taxi people to front without fear of having cargo stolen from.
I understand players want to stockpile stuff for making tanks and I would suggest using the small tents for this purpose, the one you can spawn from. Make them permantly lockable by one person or group if that makes them happy. But a locked tent wont annoy other players like a line of locked trucks does.
Not really, i have a watch with me like a real Police men and check those Trucks after 5-10 Mins... when they still in one place and no ones around...running Building etc (often i ask if the truck belongs to guys near) i wrench them open, drive them to Town hall, unload all Stuff and destibute it to the townhall (and the Building mats to a box near the Quatermaster first of couse ;)) When squadlocked i deciede if the mats inside the Truck are worth more then 100 Bmats (like 500 eMats 300 Bmats) if thats the case i blow it up.
When i don´t find Trucks locked and Abandon (which is good) i fill boxes near the vehicelfactory with fuel or build some trucks for open use
I've had more then one or two bad expereiences.
I had a guy kill me to get my med kit that I was currently using to heal someone else so he could give first aid to his friends cause I didn't stop what I was doing to heal our teams WO2 right away.
I had a guy block a road with his truck so when other trucks pulled up to get by he would toss a gas grenade at you.
Had a team of guys build walls around a sulfur spawn with a gate and would shoot at you if you tried to come up and mine their sulfur. If you wanted to use it you would have to give them a commendation.
I've seen guys gun down their own team to get a motorcycle to drive it maybe 100 ft down the road and ditch it.
One of the best I've seen is the group of 4 guys that killed anyone they saw with a mortar and I quote "Those mortars are for SSgt and higher if we see anyone but a SSgt with them after they get permission from us we will shoot you"
Honestly I could go on. This game is amazing I do enjoy it but there is no team work. No team balancing. No team work. If you are lucky you get 10ish people that will work together but for the most part it just a bunch of random people doing what they want and you hope it works out.
Ah yes If I know someone is stocking trucks around the map I would happily suggest the team to chain reprimand and kick him.
I've played on 4 different servers Charlie 3 was the best to be honest, most "teamwork" I've had in the game was on Charlie 3. Dog 4 was the server I had like 80% of the bad encounters on. Baker 2 was ok only some minor things theres and Charlie 2 was in the same boat. But I'd suggest staying off Dog 4
Seems like there's plenty of people helping the team. Truck drivers ferrying supplies back and forth, giving front-liners lifts. (Don't take their truck or they will rage though!!!)
Not many people carrying medkits, and still relying on dedicated medics for that kind of stuff.
Finding the combat a little difficult for me to be "good" at. Hopefully I'll improve though.
