How do you get commended-

the good get overlooked. Speaking of building stuff for the front. I hate that any ol a hole can come and take your vehicle then lock it this game needs to set ownership to the people who worked hard to build up supplies for the front.

You don't. Just shovel mats to players who are actually doing work. Nobody cares about logistics players. Nobody cares enough about them to say anything, even after they crush newbies under their wheels time after time.

I think a lot of people don't even know how they work. There needs to be a tooltip or part of the intro thing. Also, yea its kind of random to get one. You can do a lot and not get one or do a little and get one. When i see a guy helping the team a lot i usually give him one. E.g a person was only colleting scrap at a yard so i just gave him one.

I try my best to commend people I notice really putting their all in for the team, but I can't say the same for everyone else.

As of late, I've been using my commendations to commend new people to (Pte) while teaching them the rank system.

I wouldn't bother with it since ranks don't really provide anything yet, except for the Cpl rank being able to create squads. I am currently level 7 and haven't gotten a single commend myself so I'm unranked, even though I actively participate and communicate with others on all parts, sometimes doing logistics, sometimes frontline or basebuilding. I just assume they either don't know about the commend system or have given all their commends to their friends already. Asking for commends would also be stupid, it's like asking for likes on Facebook because that's all the ranking system basically is :)

Lvl 9 Cprl here, I mainly commend players when I see them doing a good job or for helping me with something. You've amassed a lot of scraps for us to take? Commendation. Keeping an eye on the fuel? Commendation. Helping build defenses/vehicles? Commendation,

I think the main problem is people can't be bothered to look at the list of names, despire it being in alphabetical order. I've been on servers for hours, boosting morale, helping last defenses, giving PLENTY of orders and to have everyone follow them. Yet almost 0 commendations. I feel you, it feels like all that work is being wasted if your efforts aren't rewarding you with some incentive, aside from helping out comrades in a war.

Hell, I've given out all 28 of my commendations multiple times, only to be responded with 1. Doesn't matter if ranks have anything good yet, it feels good to have a good title, everyone will follow a man/woman with experience.

That's why I think the level is more important to look at currently because the rank doesn't show experience, the level does.

Combat Medics are worth their weight in gold especially when defending an FOB or Town. Commend them.

Getting recommendations is almost only based on luck and less on activities.
The chance of luck only raises a little bit if you do useful stuff.

This ranking system killed game for me also the odd toxic player. 17 hours in and I got no urge to go back.

I did enjoy the 1st ten hours though.
