Max server population
The store page says: "Foxhole is a massively multiplayer game where you will work with hundreds of players to shape the outcome of a persistent online war" but then I'm seeing from posts that the max server pop is only 120. That hardly qualifies as hundreds. Are the devs going to eventually increase the pop cap so that it actually is hundreds on the same server as the store page implies it is?

I too am wondering this, especially since queue times at peak (3pm-6pm est) can be like 90-150 people ahead of you. There is a community behind this game striving to play, but they're not given the chance. I feel kind of cheated out of my $20 only because of what your opening post says, and some reviews too, 60v60 is not mmo, it's only slightly above 32v32 standard, and Arma 3 goes up to 512 players in one game.

Because each name set of servers is one giant map, and each of the servers within that name set are each a map on that giant map.

Best I can explain it lol.

Like a campaign metagame.

Has an Arma 3 server actually hit 512 in one game................ Let's get real. (Playable)

When Foxhole was in pre-alpha there was a couple dev streams that the question was asked: will we ever see more than 60v60. The answer would be it's possible, but they're focused on the content side first before they increase that.

Now quote:

" I feel kind of cheated out of my $20 only because of what your opening post says, and some reviews too, 60v60 is not mmo"

You obviously were not around for World Conquest when they were running it during pre-alpha were you? They have the ability to put up 6 different maps (120x6=720 players possible) of a World Conquest mode (this doesn't include the 3 other maps they will have in the future). You're able to drive or walk to all the different maps at any given time. Say you cross into another area and that area is full? You get put into the que.

Games like this have been labeled "massively multiplayer" for years and years. Both SubSpace and Infantry (the game this is definitely influenced by) were considered MMOs, same with current games like KotK, Battlegrounds, and Rust.

Game actually has the goal of having more players per sever, but it is limited to less for the time being.
