When Foxhole was in pre-alpha there was a couple dev streams that the question was asked: will we ever see more than 60v60. The answer would be it's possible, but they're focused on the content side first before they increase that.
Now quote:

You obviously were not around for World Conquest when they were running it during pre-alpha were you? They have the ability to put up 6 different maps (120x6=720 players possible) of a World Conquest mode (this doesn't include the 3 other maps they will have in the future). You're able to drive or walk to all the different maps at any given time. Say you cross into another area and that area is full? You get put into the que.
